Amplitudes for $\gamma_v N\to\Delta$ in the framework of chiral soliton models

The process of electroexcitation of the $\Delta(1232)$ is studied in the framework of two chiral soliton models with quarks and meson fields: the linear $\sigma$-model and the chiral chromodielectric model. The ratios $E2/M1$ and $C2/M1$ in dependence of photon four-momentum squared, $K^2$, are similar in both models for \mbox{$-K^2<0.6$~GeV$^2$} and compatible with the existing data. However, the helicity amplitudes are better reproduced in the linear $\sigma$-model.
